I have investigated the philosophical analysis of human's action and reaction from Allameh Tabataba'i's view in his "Al-manamat va Al-Nobovat" in this article. Pointing some philosophical principles, Allameh tries to explain the process of formation of human's optional action from the perspective of philosophy of action. The most important principles he uses are as follows: the principle of need, tendency and tropism, the principle of attention, the principle of selection, the principle of necessity by subjective consideration and the principle of ontological gradation.
Allameh considers these principles and ends up with a model of philosophy of action which is at a higher level than the degrees of existence and is ontological graded - meanwhile it is similar to the actions of pre-human or natural beings (such as concrete objects, plants and animals) - and shows different characteristics which is the origin of abstraction of the attributes of awareness and free will and authority. Therefore, on this base, none of the theories of "reductionist monism" and "contrastive dualism" present a correct interpretation of human's action; rather the theory of " ontological graded dualism" should be our base for the analysis and explanation of human's action.
