Divine laws, as fixed and unchangeable laws governing the system of creation and communities, are one of the fundamental axes in explaining socio-historical developments from the perspective of the Holy Quran.
Over the past decades, Ayatollah Khamenei has repeatedly explained and adapted these laws to the situation of the Islamic Revolution, the Resistance Front, and Muslim societies.
The present study, employing thematic analysis and referring to the collection of the Supreme Leader’s statements on his information database, seeks to extract and systematize the categories of divine laws from his perspective.
The findings indicate that, firstly, the Supreme Leader’s statements clearly cover three categories of laws: conditional laws (especially the law of divine assistance (Nasr), the law of substitution (Khalaf), and the law of destruction (Tadmir)), absolute non-competitive laws (such as general aid and trial), and absolute competitive laws.
Secondly, among these, the law of divine assistance (Nasr), with over 60% of references, has the highest application in terms of Quranic argumentation, conditions, and instances of this law. Relying on verses such as “If you help God, He will help you” and “God will surely help those who help Him”, the Supreme Leader introduces it as a definitive and infallible divine law for resistant societies.
Thirdly, other laws – whether conditional like the law of divine accompaniment (Ma‘iyyah) or substitution (Khalaf), or absolute laws of both types – have been analyzed in line with and with a view to the law of divine assistance.
